That depends a little on the briefing and our backlog. As a rule, we take 3-6 months to develop a product. Depending on the complexity and requirements.
- Everything starts with the briefing. The more detailed it is, the faster we can get started.
- In our weekly jour fix, the new topics are evaluated and a decision is made as to whether product development should be carried out.
- An initial recipe is designed and calculated. The result is presented to the customer.
- When the customer approves the result, any missing raw materials are ordered. An initial recipe is then mixed in our laboratory, which then goes through an internal tasting round. Once the recipe has been approved internally, the customer receives the first samples for testing.
- Customer feedback is incorporated. The aim is to carry out a maximum of 2 tasting rounds.
- Clearance by the customer.
- A machine test may be necessary for snack products.
- Final creation of product specifications and release by QA.
- Transfer of the die-cuts for the packaging.
- Customer creates the packaging design.
- Now we are ready for the first order.
Yes, if it's a basic recipe that we can modify, we currently charge €95 per sample of a variety. For more complex developments that require a full project, we charge €2500. We will of course point this out in advance. If a machine test is necessary, this will be charged at cost.
Various criteria must be met before new products can be included in development:
- The customer must be able to present a clear marketing concept.
- The minimum quantities for developments are correspondingly higher and must be guaranteed.
- We must have free capacity.
